ELECTRICA SALSA, HYDROGEN?

We can’t talk about cars without talking about combustion vs electric vs hydrogen cell. For starters, it is important to see that there are a few aspects to keep in mind:

  1. Governments tax and regulate. It’s their entire reason for existing, and they have to justify their existence and cost. One of these justifications is to “safe humanity and planet Earth” from all these terrible dangers such as viruses and climate disasters. A slight problem hereby is that the science doesn’t always add up, or more precisely, never. No devastating disease is decimating humans and while nobody with an IQ in the double digits or higher would deny climate change, there is definitive proof by now that CO2 is not causing temperatures to rise or fall, nor is it bad. Actually it is so good for plants that it is pumped for a lot of money into greenhouses to make plants grow better, bigger and stronger. Which means, when governments charge “carbon tax” they are clearly scamming citizens, as there is no “human made climate crisis” but a lot of governmental debt that needs paying.
  2. While most (but not all!) environmental activism is mislead and instrumentalized, there is an urgent need to reduce POLLUTION, WASTE OF RESOURCES and OVERALL IMPROVEMENT. Whether it’s the more than problematic “renewable energies” that are brutally inefficient and deadly for the environment, the electric engine or the use of hydrogen fuel cell, we need to honestly acknowledge their current inefficiencies or downsides and allow them to improve. Electric engines have made huge strides and some of the most impressive achievements are now electrified, from super cars to motorcycles, there is something to be said about their speed and acceleration! At the moment neither wind turbines nor solar panels are in any way environmentally friendly but just because they aren’t mature enough for mass production now doesn’t mean they never would be! They do deserve more R&D and will eventually become sustainable.
  3. Different places, different circumstances, different solutions – there is no one size fits all. Electric cars need better, safer and far more reliable batteries, and companies like Tesla are working on it. Today’s batteries are not and will not be a valid option for places like Canada, Alaska or Siberia anytime soon, but given some time and research they eventually might become a great alternative and will also lead to inventing and exploring further possibilities due to their extensive electronic use, especially in autonomous driving. Hydrogen, too, has both downsides and potential but particularly in combination with net of smaller nuclear reactors (a much cheaper, safer and far more efficient solution as the giant reactors we use today) hydrogen would surely make a splash.

At Calypex, we believe in research, progress, permanent improvement and the need to experiment and try. The world isn’t black and white, and it isn’t smart to dismiss the combustible engine just yet. Let’s learn from the German mistake of shutting down nuclear power without having a fully functioning replacement first! Let’s understand that oil is renewable, as it is produced by Earth and we aren’t running out of it any time soon. Let’s not rely on oil and develop alternatives nevertheless!

At the moment, only the combustion engine is a valid option for our off road cars but we are working on implementing electric and/or hydrogen powered engines, too. We hope to see some serious break through there soon.

Let’s not be ideologically blinded fanatics, let’s see facts and allow the data of unbiased and independent research. This way we really make the world a better place.
